Think back to the last time you went to a rock  concert or a fire works display. Do you remember that peculiar ringing in your ears after the show stopped? The noises around you were muffled briefly, replaced with a buzzing inside your head, almost as if your ears were screaming. Or the background or low-level noise in your house, work or school, have you noticed how it disrupts your concentration. Did you know that noise affects people's health by increasing stress levels and aggravating stress-related conditions such as high blood pressure, coronary disease, peptic ulcers and migraine headaches?

 

Let's face it! Continous noise is not healthy. There are a lot of stuff we don't like in our world and maybe even in our lives. This stuff is spiritual noise like immorality, alcohol, drugs, selfishness, cussing, prejudice, lieing, cheating and so much more; this is the noise that causes distraction and chaos in our lives.

 

New Song Christian Fellowship Youth Group teaches the Word of God every time we meet.  We introduce the life-changing benefits of Bible reading and encourage it as part of "life habits." To every young adult that walks through our doors, we want to make the Truth so clear and loud that the noises of the world are drowned out by the amazing sound of the TRUTH!

 

It is about making the choice to turn away from the destructive forces that causes noise. It's about standing up for Truth despite the chaos. But more than that, it's turning our hearts toward God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and allowing God's Word to guide us, in each step, of the amazing journey, He has for us all.
