Senior Pastor Ron Nicholson​

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Matthew 11: 28-30

 

 

This Scripture is close in heart for Ron. He desires for all people to find rest in Jesus. To find the gentle and humble heart in the message that our Lord Almighty wishes to teach His people.

 

Ron is known for his quiet demeanor, gentle spirit and his passion for his family. He believes that hearts can be changed through the revelation of Jesus Christ. He has an anointing of Bible knowledge, concepts and understanding. Ron has been in the Ministry for over 14 years.

 

He was born in San Jose, California and moved to Grants Pass in 1983. After graduating from Grants Pass High in 1985 he attended Oregon State University and Southern Oregon University. He has been happily married since 1990 and has three children, a son-n-law and a newly adopted/foster son.

 

Ron attended Calvary Church, Applegate Christian Fellowship and Calvary Chapel for seventeen years before becoming Senior Pastor of New Song in 2007. He was an Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor and Worship team member at Calvary Chapel.

 

Ron’s passion is to break down the walls that separate us from God and His work in our lives by teaching and implementing forgiveness, faith, hope and love. He desires to make church a safe place for all people wanting to learn about our Creator.

 

Ron brings us back to the basics of Jesus Christ with his heartfelt and humble style of teaching. He marches us through the Bible, verses by verse and chapter by chapter so that we learn the Word in its entirety.
